Technology One... For local councils
Technology One is one of Australia's largest publicly listed software and services companies. Its focus is the design, development, implementation and support of powerful, enterprise-wide software applications using Client Server, Internet and eBusiness technologies for the corporate and government sectors.
Amongst Technology One's many systems, which includes education, retail, human resources, wholesale and distribution solutions, it's the local government system, "Proclaim One" and the financial management and accounting product "Finance One", which have proved to be winners with local governments.
Technology One has signed contracts for software and services worth almost $10 million in the last 18 months with Councils around Australia. It attributes its success to understanding the Councils' individual requirements and providing them with a solution that enables them to gain greater efficiencies and lower costs.
The Company also acknowledges the tender notification service supplied by TenderSearch as crucial in the process.
“The information that TenderSearch sends us is easily and quickly checked for items of interest to our organisation. Also because of the use of email notification, any relevant items are then easily distributed to those people within Technology One who have responsibility to source further information about the tender. In all, it's a very convenient and timely service,†said Mr Adrian Di Marco, Technology One CEO.
TenderSearch supplied Technology One with the tender notification from Sutherland Shire in Sydney's south, requesting the provision of specified Council core corporate business software. As a result of the response, Sutherland Shire, the fourth largest Council in Australia, signed a $1.5 million software and services contract with Technology One.
The Company boasts an impressive record of local government success stories and there are more contracts imminent, as Councils upgrade for the future and cater for on-line demand.
Two Melbourne Councils, Manningham, a $1.4 million contract and Boroondara have chosen Technology One's solutions to replace their existing local government systems. Redland Shire Council in Queensland is already reaping the benefits of Technology One's financial management and accounting systems…and "Finance One" provided Coffs Harbour City Council on the New South Wales coast with software ideal for its needs.
As the centre for a large and industry diverse area with a wide range of services and facilities, Newcastle City Council needed a modern, commercial financial management information system that was dynamic and flexible. Technology One supplied a cost competitive solution.
Hobart City Council became the first local authority to go live on three of Technology One's local government products.
With a greater push from Councils to provide more on-line services for its ratepayers and customers, Technology One says it's providing integrated solutions to enable essential upgrades…and with continued product upgrades, Councils are assured that their new product will not become obsolete over time.
