Sermacs

Established in 1946, Sermacs Australia is one of the country's largest and most diversified national investigative and security organisations.

Sermacs provides personal management involvement, superior supervision and trained personnel and operatives in surveillance, criminal matters, arson, fraud and undercover, domestic and commercial investigations, CTP motor vehicle and stress and liability claims. The organisation also provides Loss Prevention consulting services to private businesses, corporations, government departments and insurance companies.

The Sermacs Security Team consists of highly skilled security and emergency response personnel including security officers, mobile patrols, crowd control officers and industrial paramedics. Sermacs National Manager, Mr David Haberland says that through extensive testing and screening, personnel are selected who demonstrate integrity, intelligence, high level communication skills and motivation. "As a complete Security Corporation, Sermacs Training Academy provides students with first hand skills, practical knowledge and theory from some of the best trainers in the industry," he said.

Electronic eavesdropping counter measures using the latest technical detection devices, provide total assurance of privacy against electronic surveillance. "Computer technology and its advancement has increased the crime of corporate and workplace espionage," said Mr Haberland. As technology advances, the threat and availability of listening devices has also increased. The use of undercover personnel enables the targeting of specific areas of vulnerability from equipment sabotage and employee theft to embezzlement and drug abuse.

The organisation is also a leader in the provision of personal protection for corporate personnel and their families, with the ability to operate both locally and nationally. "This service affords Sermac clients the luxury of retaining the same protection team wherever they may travel," said Mr Haberland.

The Sermacs Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) which monitors security requirements throughout Australia, operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Sermacs Emergency Services Officers (ESO's) are amongst the leaders in their field and carry out regular training at training facilities in the Hunter Valley and in Queensland. "Our ESO's are well experienced in a wide range of emergency responses from first attack fighting, medical interventions, marine emergency, drowning and cardiac arrest," said Mr Haberland.

"Sermacs finds TenderSearch a very important and critical management tool in sourcing new business for the company. We have recently won new local council tenders and large industrial site tenders as a direct result of TenderSearch services."
